Lawrence Tamarau: Making a difference

Play Video

The world needs more families, like Lawrence and Sandra Tamarau in Papua New Guinea.

As a local missionary, Lawrence works fulltime as an engineer aboard the YWAM Liberty – a 1,700 tonne medical cargo ship –  delivering critical aid and the gospel of Jesus Christ to his countrymen in remote islands in the South Pacific.

This cannot happen without the sacrificial support of Sandra, Lawrence’s wife, who works fulltime at home to support their ministry.  In her own words, “The changes I’ve seen in Lawrence’s character alone make it all worthwhile.”

Part of the mission of YWAM Ships is to equip national missionaries to serve isolated people in remote parts of their own country.

Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations…  Matthew 28:19

Keep an eye on the blog for further updates on Lawrence – including a Ships-wide recruiting campaign for medical and marine professionals featuring this guy.  And if you are even remotely led to help support the Tamarau’s efforts to serve the people of Papua New Guinea through the YWAM Liberty, CLICK HERE and we would be honoured to help put you in touch with them.
